Minnen Reference

His name is Minnen (it means "Memories" in Swedish) and he's an Egyptian fruit bat/Egyptian Rousette en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian…

He is the manifestation of Okami's memories connected to Shado and he can bring to her mind all those memories more easily and in a less painfully way.

Backstory: He was born the day Shado gave a bat plushie to Okami saying "He will remind you of me". Soon he turned into an animal/spirit that follows Okami everywhere, collecting all the memories connected to the two lovers he could, bringing them to Okami's mind when she felt lonely, sad and unloved. Doing so, he daily gave her the strenght to go on and wait for the day when she would have met Shado again.
When Shado left Okami, Okami tried to make Minnen leave because he brought with him too many painful memories connected to Shado, but he couldn't go away, so he picked up the necklace that Okami left somewhere and started to follow Okami from distance. Eventually, after some days, Okami was too numb because of the pain and she let him come near her. He started to make her remember some things and vent the pain. Unluckily, this gave to Kurokami many possibilities to posses her, making Okami doing things she regretted.
After this, Okami tried to make Minnen leave again, but he didn't care about it and still following Okami from distance, until she let him come close to her again. Okami vented again her pain, but this time Minnen drinked the blood coming from the wound on her chest, keeping Kurokami calmer than the last time, at least enough to protect Okami from Kurokami's thirst for revenge.
Okami has always had problems in flying and she could do that only because Shado teached her how to do it and, despite her repeated falls and accidents, she kept flying, encouraged by him. Since Okami has been left she lost her faith in her ability of flying, especially after a really bad fall from a great height that seriously injured her wings (she was trying to fly without him, but she couldn't). She doesn't want to fly again, also because she can't fly well anymore.
He sleeps near to Okami every night, so he can keep an eye on her and comfort her when she needs it. He's like a little guardian angel/vampire for Okami, like Shado was her guardian angel/vampire.

Personality: He's normally quiet and caring, especially with Okami. When Okami loses her hopes, he gets sad and tries in every way to make her smile again. When Okami gets in danger, he gets mad and can be quite dangerous (he can fly very quickly and his teeth are sharp).
He doesn't really trust Kurokami since she's the reason why some very bad things happened, but he knows that Kurokami wants only revenge on who has hurt Okami, so he makes his best to don't give her ways to possess Okami.
He loves strawberries, mint and Nutella, but he usually shares them with Okami (they're connected with a lot of memories).
